Veteran's in the news!

Greetings. I know I haven't been posting like I should be recently but with school and graduation right around the corner, I haven't had much time to blogging and seeing what's been going on in the veterans world! Covid has taken a turn for the better which is something that I never thought I would say. President Biden has been getting vaccines out like no tomorrow. Every adult after April 19th will have access to a vaccine that will keep you safe from the deadly coronavirus. Numbers in cases have gone down dramatically as well. We were averaging more than three thousand cases a day but that has dropped significantly. Now you may ask, what does Covid-19 has to do with Veterans. I'll tell you why. The more lives and attention Covid takes, the less attention and support our veterans get from our country. Our veterans are in desperate need right now and the longer Covid continues, the longer Veterans will suffer.     More than 50% of our veterans are over the age of

President Biden

President Biden is the future for America. I hate to say that because a president shouldn't be the only person able to change our country for the better, but after our last president, it seems this is our only option at this point. We are the most divided, confused and vulnerable we have ever been since the war of Vietnam. Joe Biden will do everything he can to help our country get back to where it was, or at least he says he will, so as an American I have to take his word and do everything I can to help him make the dream come true. As a citizen, I feel it is my responsibility to learn about my presidents past because if I am going to put my faith in him, I can't just do it blindly. After looking into his family's history, I noticed something interesting about his son, Beau. He served several years in the military for our country and would later die of Brain cancer after returning home from war. Both Joe and Jill believed he got this cancerous tumor from the burning pits

President Trump

As most of you may know, these past two weeks have been some of the most politically violent times in American history. It all starts though with our very own president. Donald Trump has now been president for a full term and has made a lot of noise towards the end of his legacy. President Trump has some of the most loyal followers as well so the whole situation doesn't really make any sense. Why would people go out of their way to support a man who couldn't care less about them? This question was raised highly after a group of white nationalists and republicans stormed the United States Capital building. In most countries, this act would end in a slaughter of civilians and would possibly cause a civil war between a country. What was funny about this was this was not the fact they were granted permission to overthrow the capital, the leader of our country was the root cause behind it. For months this raid had been planned by Trump supporters all over the country. Now you

What does the new Presidential election mean for veterans?

As probably all of you watched last night, you know what this blog is going to entail. Do I think it was the best option for our country? Yes. Do I think it will magically solve all the problems surrounding veteran affairs? Not a chance. Our country has been the brink of collapsing for the past year, which means we have some important matters to take care of. For example, finding a vaccine for Covid-19, bringing back jobs that were lost due to the pandemic, and many more that will come up I just don't want to focus my attention on because they will be getting all the funding and support they need. Veteran funding and support may change minimally in the first couple years just because of a new president and new rules will be implemented. But anything major in change will happen a long time down the road so expecting instant change within our democratic system is just plain ignorant. The one thing I will say about Joe Biden is that he is open to change. He is willing to do whatever

My Journey to becoming a Strength and Conditioning Coach! (Impact Learning)

Hi! My name is Peyton Springfield and welcome to my blog. As some of you may already know this is my personal blog for me to write about what goes on in my life in my thoughts on it. I recently have been using it to talk about veteran affairs from my digital media class that I've been taking at Winchendon thisear. I am now going to be using it to tell my stories of my strength and conditioning Journey becoming a coach and maybe one day being something more. My impact learning class, I was asked what I was passionate about. I responded, Fitness.  After telling mr. S what I was passionate about,  I was then given a choice to decide what project I want  to do on Fitness.  It then came to me that if I wanted to be a strength and conditioning coach, I would have to start somewhere. So I came up with a plan that involves me putting my information and research to the test.  I am going to choose a subject to put through a certain cycle of workouts of different lengths  and then measure h

Veterans in the News!

As many of you know, on November 3rd our country either gets saved or we fall deeper into the abyss of America's hate and brutality. As I look into Veteran affairs more and more, I start to see a pattern in what happens and what doesn't happen, which is actually the more important side. Veterans, especially the older generation of veterans, have a code or some standard they live by that was installed in them during their time in the war. Before I get into anymore of this, I want people to know that I have utter empathy for veterans, no matter the age or job. To give the ultimate sacrifice to help us sleep peacefully at night is something I could never even imagine. That being said, veterans are a main concern for voters trying to get Trump out of office but I can see their side to the story and don't blame them for the way they feel or act one bit. More times than not, a veteran is more on the conservative side compared to the liberal side. They feel the left wants to hold

The Presidential Election and How it will Affect Veteran Affairs

As many of you probably know, this November will decide that fate of the world. You probably think I'm joking, which I am, but that does not take away anything from how important this upcoming election will be for not just veterans, but every single American citizen. As I've said in past blogs, I stay as far away as I can from choosing either left or right when it comes to politics and I will continue to do so because I'm not here to try and persuade you to believe in what I believe in. My goal for this blog has been and will always be a place to come and get honest, quality, sometimes humorous Veteran Affair updates. So when I start to dip into politics, don't start commenting and tweeting at me to stay in my lane. I do it only to inform you guys and keep you up to date. In my last blog I went over a little bit on what each candidate has said on what they will be doing to try and help veterans in their next four in office. President Trump has made claims to improve the
